Longwood Cascade Garden is part of Longwood Gardens, one of the world’s most renowned botanical gardens, located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania (USA). This unique tropical indoor garden, designed by the world-famous Brazilian landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx, is considered a masterpiece of modernist landscape design. It is also the only fully preserved Burle Marx garden in North America — a place where aesthetics, experience, and technology seamlessly come together.

For a project of this stature, climate control is essential. Our American partner, Draper Inc., faced the challenge of protecting the greenhouses from overheating without compromising the architectural integrity of the design. The presence of asymmetrical window shapes required a carefully engineered, fully customized solution.

In close collaboration with Draper, we developed high-quality shading systems tailored precisely to the building’s unique geometry. For this project, we manufactured trapezoidal and triangular shading systems, complemented by straight systems where required. In addition, we designed and produced custom-made mounting brackets to ensure accurate and efficient installation on site.
